Continuous filament mat is a new type of non-woven reinforcing material, which is made up of continuous ECR-glass strand. It is bonded directly by coupling agent without bunching. Powder glass fibre chopped strand mat is combined with a polyester binder and has excellent wetting properties. It is fluffy and soft, with very good resin wettability, easily to edge, and particularly suitable for environments such as winter, where the resin wettability rate is affected.

Emulsion glass fibre chopped mats are bonded with an emulsion binder and have a much smoother surface than powdered glass fibre mats. Emulsion chopped mats are suitable for use with resins of the polyester or polyvinyl ester family, which quickly break down the emulsion binder so that the chopped mats can be brushed and rolled more easily and allowed to fit the mould.
