196 unsaturated polyester resin is a general-purpose IG type resin.
This 196 unsaturated polyester resin has been recognized by China Classification Society (CCS).196 Unsaturated Polyester Resin is primarily used as a toughening agent for epoxy resin adhesives, with a recommended dosage of 10 to 20 parts. It is also widely applied in the production of various fiberglass composites, including wind turbines, boat hulls, pipes, tanks, and various other structures requiring corrosion resistance and high temperature tolerance.
This resin is known for its good water, acid, and alkali resistance, as well as its high heat resistance, allowing it to be used in environments up to around 120°C. Its moderate viscosity ensures good impregnation and adhesion to reinforcing materials like glass fibers. Furthermore, it offers faster curing speeds and lower shrinkage rates.
